peaceOfmind78
I'm torn between the two...poll, please. Where would you rather go? Why? Thank you. Link to comment
DrKitten
I've never been to Santa Monica, but I love San Diego. It has a small town feel to it, even though it is a big city. The culture is very rich, people are nice and it doesn't feel very touristy. Link to comment
metrogirl
I love both cities. I am about 45 minutes away from Santa Monica so I go a few times a year when I feel it calling me. LOL San Diego on the other hand is so awesome. It seems like people are nicer down there too. Link to comment
Day_Walker
Both have their advantages and it depends on what youre planning on doing. Link to comment

renaissancewoman101
San Diego, hands down It has a great "small city" feel. If you want to party, you can hang out in the Gaslamp area (downtown). Lots of good restaurants, bars, and even nightclubs. If you want to go walk around and take in the scenery, there are some great beaches over by Coronado, or by La Jolla or Carlsbad. Balboa Park is right next to the zoo, and has a lot of stuff to walk around (grassy areas and museums). Link to comment
peaceOfmind78
Santa Monica has been calling me for months....just want to chill by the beach. Eat, chill, sip, relax. San Diego's where most of my friends are going. Planning a trip in October. I guess I could go to the zoo and all other places suggested by renaissancewoman101. Link to comment
Day_Walker
Either location will work if you just want to go to the beach and relax. Link to comment
greywolf
San Diego is like the cleaner more laidback version of LA (IMO anyway). Link to comment
