Hunny1607307342
Ok earlier on today i got an invite to a private group on facebook. My ex had invited me (and 100 other people) to a celebrity's birthday party. (A-list) at a very exclusive club. (my ex is in the whole clubbing business etc.) So I was like oh! hmmmm Do I....... a) GO, look hot and strut my stuff b) NOT go, and then ask him how it was the next day, and tell him i had other plans and thus couldn't make it. c) Ask him in advance whether he thinks it'll be worth going if i don't have a table booking and see how he reacts to the idea of me going and then just decide accordingly. Normally, I would go for b), but the fact that this is an A list celeb really makes it tempting to go...........i really don't know what to do. What do you think?! XXXXXXXX Link to comment
Cognitive_Canine
A It's big event, you won't have to talk to your ex if you don't wanna. Have fun and enjoy. Link to comment
havefaith
I say A as well because you mentioned in your post that you WANT to go. You should always follow what you WANT to do, not what YOUR EX wants you to do, etc. Just make sure you have some friends to go with & don't spend the night searching for him! And don't get your hopes up. Link to comment
Hunny1607307342
I know i do want to but at the same time i just dont want him to think i will follow him around like a little puppy, seeing as HE's the person who invted me. Also about 3 months ago he did the same thing and i went to the party... i dont know. hows about if i go for C ? Link to comment
annie24
you should just go. bring a date or a friend. and since there's 100 people there, it's not like you're going to be stuck hanging out with your ex, plenty of other people will be there that you can talk to. sounds like fun! Cognitive_Canine
Don't base your decision on him. Take advantage of this awesome experience. Maybe stop in and say "thanks for the invite" then go have fun. Dance. Don't worry about your ex. He invited you. He is the little puppy... Link to comment

NotSoPlainJane
If he invited 100 other people and you, probably even more, then clearly he's jsut being cool and inviting everyone on his rolodex...he wont be checkin for u so you go ahead, go have fun, and check for those celebs!lol Its allstar weekend too! Hunny1607307342
( and hence that would mean having to talk to him and also him knowing that im going )... Link to comment
annie24
i would just send a message right back and say that you would like to go and ask if it is ok to invite some friends (recognize that he may say no due to the capacity of the club, etc....) i think it's nice that he asked you to attend this event. and even if you can't bring any friends, just go anyways, 100 people or more, should be plenty of people to chat with. and if you aren't having a good time, you can always leave.
