  1. It is sure hard to live with parents again after decades of …. Not . 🤪😅
  2. For sure. She has a running commentary for every single show. 🤪
  3. I have slept on the couch but it isn’t that comfy. I am a tummy sleeper and I can’t sleep on my tummy on the couch because of the arm rests. 😓
  4. I have done all kinds of therapy but EMDR helped me the most . Essentially it reprocesses trauma and moves it into the past and not your every waking moment and takes it out of your processing . You know it happened but you don’t have an attachment to it .
  5. I guess it is invasive too because it is 4 weeks before her new bedroom set comes and she is sleeping with me in my bed. So there is never time away from her. I am sure she feels the same about me though. She gets up twice at night to pee which wakes me up. She isn’t exactly stealth getting in and out of bed.
  6. EMDR helped me greatly to not think emotionally about abuse I suffered.
  7. She likes to talk way way way more than I do. She will just have to learn we like our quiet time too. And this “ being curious “ is invasive. It isn’t being curious it is being nosey. She can be pushy but I guess she will learn she is just part of the crew, not queen bee. I guess it is hard when you have been Queen bee for 59 years.
  8. She also wants to move the furniture all around to see where it “goes best.” My couches weight 300 pounds because they have foot rests on each end. I said nope. Unless you can lift the sofas we aren’t moving anything.
  9. My mom has been here a week. It isn’t horrible but she is a bit invasive. She is always always always talking and talking the same time as other people because she can’t hear even with hearing aids. You have to literally scream at her. She is always asking about things ALL THE TIME, because she is “ curious.” Yeah, no. I just reply with I don’t know , don’t care and not curious. She brings up things to do in the future constantly. I said is it being done today? She says no and I say then I am not discussing it. That it how I control my anxiety. I am not discussing future, period.
  10. And you resent the hell out of what you have been taught so it isn’t genuine.
  11. I use the desktop version on my browser on my phone . I never use a pc to access anymore and I haven’t in years .
  12. So you put yourself first but are shocked when others do the same . Why?
  13. Yeah he never hooks into the wifi. He has 100 G of data a month on his personal plan.
  14. Yup! My husband works for the government and EVERYTHING is monitored. He uses his personal phone for social media.
  15. She won’t even be considered a serious candidate and would never pass a medical or a psyche test or the training. Nothing to worry about .
  16. I will say I didn’t try to control friends etc but family members, yes , to avoid the pain of anxiety. The proximity to your effect on my life was key.
  17. What I am seeing here is anxiety. People with anxiety have problems with trying to control everything. I know because I had severe anxiety for decades and had controlling behaviours. It took me a long time to where I control the anxiety not the other way around.
  18. My mom is finally here . We got her moved up here yesterday.
  19. I can’t either. I would love my child no matter what.
  20. Once you have kids and a family they are number one priority. That is the way it is .
  21. No one is “ wrong”. Here is the thing about adults they can do whatever they please. At 21 parents are no longer responsible for us and our upkeep. It is nice if they are, but no one can “ make” them look after us a day past 16-18 depending on country. Feelings are valid. Yours and hers. I would find it difficult when I was 21 if my parents left the country. I would probably feel hurt as well. She is entitled to do as she pleases though.
