  1. Hey, I met this really cool girl about a month and a half ago. We started talking on MSN and I found out she has a BF of three and a half years. I kept talking to her anyway. Her BF is about 8 hours away working, and when he comes back in a month, he'll still be 3 hours away. We started talking A LOT on MSN almost right away, like 2 hours a night, almost every night. Then we started calling each other and talking for an hour to 2 hours a few times a week on the phone. Then we started hanging out. Things like: her coming over to hang out until 1:30 am, playing sports, watching movies, going out for drinks, etc. There's definite vibes when we hang out. Last weekend we saw each other at the bar, and we were with each other all night. She bought me drinks, we danced. Then she freaked out a little and said it wasn't fair to hang out like this. However, after saying that, she ditched her friends, walked home with me (an hour and a half walk) and slept over in my bed (nothing physical happened). This past week we talked for hours every night. When we're not on msn or on the phone, we text message each other a lot. Last night we hung out again and she slept over again (on the couch this time). Again, nothing physical has happened. So I need some advice now. I'm afraid if I pressure her, or ask her to choose, she'll get scared and run away. Maybe it's better to keep going with the flow and let her make up her own mind? She knows I'm interested, because I mention it or joke about it quite a bit. Any advice is greatly appreciated! Thanks!
  2. Her actions are saying something different though. We had gone through a period where we didn't really talk at all. Then all of a sudden she started calling me and wanting to hang out, as soon as we stopped working together. So, her actions seem to be leading in the right direction.
  3. I dated this girl for 3 months back in the fall. She broke up with me cause we worked together and it was hard. We didn't talk a lot outside of work after that, for a few months. Then, she lost her job at my work and began working somewhere else. Almost immediately after this, she started to call me and we've started to hang out again. We've hung out 3 times in the past 2 weeks or so and talk a few times a week on the phone. She told a friend of mine that she couldn't work with me and date me, but that things could change now. But, that she was also worried of ruining our friendship. When we hang out, it's fun and I do get positive vibes, but nothing like dating has happened yet. I don't know whether to come right out and ask her if she wants to date again...or to let it go slow and see what happens. Does anyone have any advice on this? Thanks!
  4. ...that if I keep NC or LC up, my ex will think I don't really care about her or didn't really like her in the first place? She might think that I'm not putting up enough of a fight, and just give up on me?? What do you think???
  5. We've worked together for the past 6 months. That's how we met. We found out today that she is losing her job. She's just filling in for someone on a maternity leave, but unfortunately, that person is coming back earlier than expected. So now things will be different. We see each other every single day. In a few weeks, that will no longer be the case. I wonder if things will change??
  6. Thanks for the advice, that was a great post. You assumed right. She didn't call back. I was pretty pissed off last night about it, and I think that's the best thing for me to feel. Cause I went to work not caring today. I acted very distant around her. When I first got there, I joked about the message though, saying that I'm a dork, and laughed at it. She laughed about it too. However, she kept giving me mixed signals again. I barely talked to her in the lunchroom at lunch. But whenever I looked at her, she was looking at me (which was about 4 times). She then started a conversation with me, which she never does (she's shy in the lunchroom and doesn't usually talk). I continued to stay distant all day, but she kept making conversation with me. Ahhhhhhhhh....girls are confusing! ha
  7. Sooooo embarrassing!!! So I called her.....and it went to the answering machine. This is exactly what I said, in a nervous voice..."hi *****, it's ****.....ummmmm....ummmmmm.....i forgot what i was going to say....ummmm.....i totally forgot what i was going to say...just a sec" and I hung up!!! Then I called back in about a minute and left another message, in a calm voice, "hey, sorry about that...my brother just came downstairs and i had to hang up...i just called to say hi. give me a call back if you get this today. bye" What do you think about that????
  8. I'm definitely wanting something. She's been acting a bit different for about 2 weeks now. She's been looking at me a lot at work, talking to me a lot, but is much more shy around me now. She also has only called me once in the last 4 weeks, whereas right after the break up, she called me quite a bit. I still have only called her once in 3 months. I don't know!! I think I might call her tomorrow to ask her to go for a walk or something. Any other advice or thoughts on what she's thinking? Thanks
  9. I can understand how you feel. I'm going through something similar with a girl. She says she's very interested, but is always busy with school and work. Her schedule is pretty crazy, so she might be telling the truth. But it's hard to tell if someone's interested eh?
  10. This is the funniest thing I've ever read on here....
  11. I don't know. If that was me, I would do the same thing as him. I might of been a bit jealous, and would think that you weren't showing interest in me either.
  12. Maybe he thinks you're not interested, and he's just trying not to pressure you or seem like a stalker or something. Do you show interest in him at all?
  13. Hi! My ex and I broke up about 2 and a half months ago. She broke up with me. We work together, so I had to initiate LC. I did a great job of it for a while. At the beginning, she would call maybe once or twice a week. Then during the holidays, she asked me to hang out with her twice, which I did. For the past 5 weeks or so, she's only called me 3 times, and I've called her once. However, over the past week at work, she has been increasingly nice to me and always seems to find a way to be around me. I catch her looking at me a lot (at the photocopier, the lunch room table, etc.) Is she maybe shy to ask me to hang out? Scared of rejection? Scared that I'm dating someone else? Should I start to call her or ask her to hang out? All these questions keep going through my mind! Any advice would be great! Thanks!
  14. If I had to choose one, I would date my ex for sure. But I also don't want to give up an opportunity to hang out with someone else and have fun. Especially if my ex doesn't want me back.
  15. UPDATE! Today I went snowboarding with my ex. It was the first time we have hung out for a long period of time since we broke up (other than an hour long walk last week). Things went really well. We had a lot of fun together. There was no talk about our relationship or feelings or anything though. Any advice for me on what I can do next? Thanks! Oh yeah, I'm going on a date with another girl tonight. Good idea or bad idea??
  16. I like your advice Mun. That's what I'm trying to do so far. However, I don't want to fall into the friendship trap. I want to be hanging out with her because she wants to possibly date again, not just be a friend. I don't think she would call me and want to hang out so much if she just wanted to be a friend though. Also, I've been seeing this other girl lately, and I like her too. It's really helped me to not think about my ex so much. Is it ok to be hanging out with both of these girls?
  17. Should I ask her what her intentions are? Friendship or more? Or should I continue to remain aloof?
  18. I have another update... So my ex and I work together, but we're both off for two weeks. We haven't talked since last Friday. She went away for Christmas and got back last night. She called me early this morning to talk. She then called back about an hour later to see if I wanted to go for a walk in the woods with her. I did. It was a good time, we just talked about normal stuff. She also invited me to go snowboarding with her next week, so we're going next Tuesday. She's going to teach me. She also invited me to go rock climbing next week. Also, she offered to help me move in a few weeks. What do you guys think of this????
  19. Update: She called me 3 times tonight, but I was out. She left a message, but I didn't call back (because I was out too late). This is the first time that I haven't returned one of her calls. I wonder how it will go over...
  20. I just went through the exact same thing as this. I dated her for 3 months. We hung out 3-4 times a week, talked on the phone every night, slept over at each other's houses, met each other's friends and family, etc. She said the same things to me: that we should take it slow, should be able to date other people, not ready to call us bf/gf. One night when we had been at a party and drinking, and when we got back to my place, she started talking about, "when we fall in love, etc." Anyway, after 3 months, she broke it off, saying that she needed a break from it to see if she was making a huge mistake in ending it with me. And that she wasn't able to put 100% in it. So, what I'm saying is, be careful! So far, the signs you're getting are a bit scary. Doesn't it make you feel insecure and closed up? It sure did to me!
  21. Today at work I made an effort to be more nice to my ex. I pretty much just made her feel good about things she was doing at work. After that, she ended up coming around me all day, especially after work. She came and visited for about half an hour. Why?????
  22. I keep getting this feeling that she wants me to ask her to hang out. She's been doing all the calling, and I remain indifferent, but nice. I don't know, should I ask her to do something???
  23. I'm going to keep posting updates on this post everytime I receive mixed signals from my ex. This morning she called me bright and early to talk. We talked for about 40 minutes ( I was half asleep, ha!). She told me she went to a party on Friday and felt down cause her and another girl were the only single ones there. And all her friends were talking about marriage and stuff. I really felt like asking her to hang out today, but I held off!
  24. oh, I forgot one thing! We have secret santa thing at work. Guess who's name I pulled out??? Yep, my ex.
  25. Should I start to show more interest? Tell her I miss hanging out with her?
