Jbabygirl
Just wanted to ask if any of y’all ever had missed periods and weren’t pregnant? Thanks! Link to comment
Wiseman2
Get a test kit from a pharmacy. Link to comment
Seraphim
Yes, but only after my late 30’s . Test. Link to comment
MissCanuck
Only after I started a new contraceptive pill and my cycle went a little screwy. But many things can cause it - stress, hormonal changes, extreme weight loss. Get yourself a test. Link to comment
mustlovedogs
Missed period? Entirely? If you’re a few days late, that’s one thing... Link to comment
j.man
Pee on your screen. I'll let you know. Link to comment
Jellybean9
Yes! But the was a reason other than pregnancy. So if you have doubts. Get a pregnancy test. If it turns out your are not pregnant but you keep missing periods. Book an appointment with you doctor. Link to comment
Batya33
Yes and I could not have been pregnant. Otherwise I don't think I ever entirely missed a period other than when I was pregnant but I was very late a number of times and not pregnant. Definitely test. I didn't test until I was 8 days late (because I really wanted to be pregnant so I didn't want to test too early and have the anxiety of re-testing) but I believe it would have been accurate earlier. BettyBee
I've been a few days late this year since coming off contraception, not quite as long as you. When I was younger I never really kept track but I know I was irregular. Good luck! Link to comment
Seraphim
For me I was regular as clock work unless pregnant or going into menopause. Link to comment
Jbabygirl
My sisters have skipped periods before so maybe I’m the same! Link to comment
Jellybean9
My sisters have skipped periods before so maybe I’m the same! I could be genetic. Also could be stress. Poor diet... A girl in my school who was anorexic starting skipping periods before they stopped completely. Also could be polycystic ovary sydrome. Not as serious as it sounds and very common. Or simply and orvarian cyst. Make sure they test your hormone levels. Best of luck. If this is a one off thing it's probably nothing but stress. Good you've booked to see a doctor. Link to comment
heartsnspades
A couple years ago my last period at the time was near the of November and then by the end of January I still hadn't gotten it again, wasn't pregnant, but went to planned parenthood anyways to get on birth control haha, my periods have never been regular although. HealingLight
There can be a number of reasons other than pregnancy why someone may miss a period: coming off birth control, hormone fluctuations, stress, excessive exercise, malnutrition, etc. Link to comment
