ArchieAnon
Lately I have been trying to get to the root of the cause of my bad habit of overthinking and over analyzing the behavior of the girl IÂ’m interested in. It has been causing me so much anxiety. I am clearly obsessed in her due to the fact that even the smallest thing she does can bother me. So yesterday I started thinking: does the obsession stem from the anxiety? Or does the anxiety stem from the obsession? Both? Neither? In other words, what do I need to address? The obsession or the anxiety? IÂ’m tired of making this experience torture me, it should be fun. Link to comment
smackie9
It's anxiety. You experience anxiety in other aspects of your life? or just when you have affections for someone? Link to comment
Wiseman2
OCD is a subset of anxiety disorders. Google it. Only getting a complete physical to rule out metabolic or neurological problems as well as a referral to a therapist to address OCD-anxiety will help you get to the root of all this. Is it in other areas of your life? Or is it just this girl who doesn't want a relationship who you have a crush on? Link to comment
catfeeder
The both can feed one another. Have you considered working with a therapist? Link to comment
