When you're in love and they don't love you back

Is there truly any worse pain than being in love with someone who doesn't feel the same way?

i think betrayal is worse. if you love someone who doesn't love you back you don't have to go through the pain of knowing what your missing out on.

Loving someone who doesn't love you back is like a perpetual hell that you live, hoping that one day they CAN love you back, waiting, hoping, trying.

 

It is an eternal purgatory, something I dont ever want to experience.

 

I think it would be hell to love someone who lied to you about their sexuality and strung you along for years. Have had that happen to me and it was hell.

Loving someone who doesn't love you back, hurts the most. No matter how hard you try, you cannot MAKE someone love you they have to love you on their own. Pure agony...

Its a hard decision but to see the person you love and them saying they love you kiss another person its a total heartbreak. Actually seeing the time of the cheat is terrible.

By "betrayed," do you mean being cheated on?

 

If so, that one is definitely worse. I've been in both situations, but being cheated on was definitely more agonizing.

OR seeing someone you ARE into pine over someone else......or hurt over someone else.

Sometimes I wish life could work out for us and we NOT get stuck in situations like that.

Another one is abuse and speaking of abuse, that has smething in similar with cheating, lack of respect/integrity for the SO and also not loving them unconditionally.

I think betrayal is worse than not being loved. Breaking trust is the biggest downer in any relationship. If people dont love you back, it doesnt hurt as much as people who say they do and then cheat on you.

And what about abuse, that's another way of breaking one's trust and respect.
