Classic Question. RE: Present Buying

Next week is my boyfriend's 22nd birthday.

 

And...I have NO clue what to get him. Money isn't really a problem, inspiration is. I should be more creative. I should be better in general, but that's another rant and a half.

 

We've been together just over a year and intend to be in this for the long haul. So I don't imagine he'll hold any mild present faux pas against me; but I'd appreciate any input.

 

He is almost impossible to buy for. I'll save you a lot of waffle, but his main interests pertain to sport/teams that for various reasons I can't buy anything to do with.

 

His music taste is very unpredictable varied; not a lot to go on there.

 

I've already done the Book of Things I Love About You route.

 

I've done the Painting Your Portrait thing

 

I've done the Wacky Novelty Weird Stuff Route.

 

Now, am stuck.

 

Lingerie is out because I'm not an object.

You say he likes sports? Why don't you get him a jersey of his favorite team? Or an autographed item? (My friends have done that and their guys loved it.) You can find things like that on team websites, or on ebay, if you do your research carefully...

Does he have a good mechanical watch? I reckon 99% of guys are suckers for these (me included). Try Omega, IWC, Breitling, Panerai etc.

Sport.. autograph thing is good. Rare and old sporting object is also good. You could try hot air balloon ride, romantic week/weekend away etc.?

I second the watch idea. or any other gadget/electronic thing you think he may like.

You can also take him away for a weekend to a new city to explore together and have a romantic weekend away. I always liked doing that and took my ex to do that on occasion.
