Daddy Bear
***** A kill word under glass Showpiece of a vast museum housing troubled memories Artifacts On permanent display Things she'd maybe half-recall but she would never come to see Here's a shirt I got from her I'd really like to try it on But I would feel her close around And hear one of those f____d-up songs I'd just as soon Be on the moon And treating wounds With blackened spoons Paper trail In origami folds A birthday card with cryptic words, a love expressed in comedy Spoken low That she would never break Wonder if she knew deep down that she was really breaking me Here's the thing that sealed the door And took me to that poison place Numbness flooded from the sky I didn't feel the pain for days A final note To cut my throat An "N", an "O" That's all she wrote... Time now To torch this temple down I know that life means suffering, I need no proof of tragedy Flame builds It leaps from shrine to shrine Must admit that I'm surprised to see it burn so easily Burn Burn, burn Burn it all down Burn it all down © 2006 Hear No Evil Music Link to comment

Daddy Bear
thanks for showing interest, FA. i wrote it, i haven't had a band behind me in over 20 years, and the tune sounds to me something like the Oasis songs "Champagne Supernova" or "Live Forever". Link to comment
