ShySoul Posted February 8, 2006 Share Posted February 8, 2006 Shadows Beware of the shadows that lurk in the darkness That creep into the corners of your mind Ear piercing screams, touching the ends of your soul Your worst nightmare come alive, made manifest They hide at every turn Awaiting you as you enter the unknown Ready to strike Horror Fear Terror Can you feel it? They send a shiver down you spine Gripped by fear, paralyzed Afraid to move, for fear that the slightest move might be your last There chance to drag you into the abyss Will they poison your mind? Blacken your heart until all you can see is darkness Vast, hollow emptiness. Will you turn away from all you know, Afraid that you know too much? Perhaps you fear knowing a little more, Fear the shadows that await? Will the shadows cause you to turn and flee? Run to a fantasy land Secure, safe. Retreat to a world of false illusions. The shadows come in many forms. They prey on our weakness. Our fears. Our pride. Our ignorance. They do not give up without a struggle Fighing until the very end. In the end it is a useless battle A war that this side can't win. How did we hope to defeat an opponent that strong Capable of anything they so desire? Yes, we are doomed We who have tried to conquer you. We, the Shadows, have lost. Yes, there is hope against the darkness Against the night Within us all lies a strength no evil can destroy Many have faltered Many more will But in the end, humanity shall prevail Light shall prevail Stop running from what you do not know. Embrace the darkness For in the darkness is the light The light of humanity Love and hope Stop fearing what is out there Stop being afraid.... of shadows. Link to comment

Lol_ How about shining your light upon the darkness, illuminating the way and turning the darkness into light? Taking the bad and facing it head on, turning the bad to positives. Like the saying goes, when life gives you lemons, make lemonade! What I was trying to get at. Shadows..... interesting metaphor. Alter - Thank you. You really should fear those shadows. I mean.....
