So what dumb thing did you do after breaking up but still living together?

I'll go first. We broke up Thursday after 18 years, 17 living together. So I held myself together for work then bawled on the way home. He's usually not home at this time so I thought I would be able to cry in private. Well, he was home in his office and called out that the computer repair guy was on his way. I am still crying, and when he hears he come out and asks what's wrong. I just blurted out "what a stupid question". So he took off for a hotel and now I can cry in peace.

 

Sadly, the only person I can vent to is my sister and I've already called her today. Couples therapy tomorrow to hopefully learn short-term coping mechanism as I can't move out for at least a month.

 

This suuuucks.

He sort of growled the whole time (yes, growled), then asked to do some things that I've only seen in a porno (wanted to give me a "facial", for example). All I wanted was for him to get off of me.

 

He ended up meeting a great girl a couple of years later and then married her. She and I are friendly (not friends, as in hanging out, but we are friendly when we see one another). Gee whiz, I sure hope he never told her he and I slept together...
