negative test result...and..I'm kinda sad?

I'm 20. My period is four days late and usually it's never late, actually it comes a day or two early quite often.

 

So I got a pregnancy test and it said negative. I was pretty sure I wasn't because I have a copper IUD...

 

But now I'm feeling actually kind of dissapointed? Is this normal? (And hey guys! It's been awhile lol)

Yes, all ranges of emotions are possible in different situations.

You may have that small bit of 'excitement', but in reality, are you really 'ready' for something like this at 20?

 

How about looking more forward to this in a few more years? Not sure how long you'be been with the guy your with now?

But not always are these kinds of 'surprises' a good thing. ( timing etc).

 

No worries, i'm sure it will happen, someday. Keep living and enjoy yourself without any kids.. yet. It all changes after that.

It was just so odd. I felt guinely let down, even though I didn't want it to be positive. If that makes sense?

Yes ,that is totally normal.

Totally normal, we're programmed to want children and it doesn't take much for those maternal instincts to kick in sometimes in spite of knowing they shouldn't or we don't want them to.
