"Sweetie pie" - good sign or bad?

Hey,

 

When a girl says "you're a sweetie pie" and you're not dating, is that a good or bad sign? This is sort of a follow up to my thread earlier this week regarding a girl I've been hanging out with a lot but I've yet to make my move on.

 

Not sure what to make of this latest "signal" or "anti-signal", if you will.

 

What do you guys think?

don't read into a tagline or a pet name. some people say 'babe' to everyone. to me i hate it if i'm not dating the person.

It's a good thing, but don't read into it too much. Some girls overuse the "sweetie pie" "babe" "cutie"...

Nick names even if they are generic have value, as it is a sign that they think differently about you from the masses. So i thinks its positive in a sense.

I think it depends on the context.

 

A girl working at Starbucks called me sweetie this morning.

It can sometimes introduce a level of comfort, but it doesn't mean much in a romantic sense unless it's followed up by something much more romantic.

Could mean a lot if the girl isn't demonstrative to everybody... or mean nothing if she's really dramatic and uses pet names on everyone.

I typically say it to guys I don't fancy and only like as friends.

 

However, every one is different and some girls only say it to guys they really like as a way of flirting.

Take it for face value. She at least sees you in somewhat of an attractive/positive light. Then again she wouldnt say "Morning douchebag" unless she was your good good friend. I'd take that as more of a sign even.

Actually, "morning douchebag" is about even or maybe even slightly ahead in the race to get you laid if that's what you were hinting at.

It's a bad sign when you are reading too much into what they are calling you. It means nothing.
