Jibralta
Stick with it for a couple more days. The physical symptoms will diminish. Believe me, it's not hurting you to stop smoking. The chest pains could be anxiety or even something else (asthma?). Go to the doctor if you have chest pains, but don't start smoking to stop them. That's crazy. Link to comment
Seraphim
The chest pains most likely anxiety. Link to comment

and so it goes
Nicotine gum, if you can get it where you live. Basically it saved me from going homicidal. You still want a smoke, but it's not as bad. Link to comment

melancholy123
I have two friends who successfully quit by hypnosis. Both went to conventional medical doctors who knew how to use hypnotism. Both have not smoked in about 10 years so yes it can and does work. Link to comment
Jibralta
I had two friends who each quit by getting a staple in their ear. Yes, a staple. And it worked! But one friend did have to go to the hospital because her staple got infected!! Link to comment
