help! inexperienced guy falls for THEE coolest girl

okay, I'm 16, never really done the whole relationship gig. In school, I was in two of her classes, however I didn't know her at all until she started talking to me at weird times. Then she seemed to want to be friends and started sitting next to me on numerous occasions, tapping me on the shoulder while crossing in the halls, things like that. Then summer came, and I got hold of them screenname on aol. we started to talk and it always seemed like I was starting new topics, almost like she wasn't interested in keeping the conversation alive. I'm not exactly sure on anything, since I just met her the last two months of school, but I think she has a boyfriend or just broke up. Anyway, 5 or 6 conversations later, I asked her online if she wanted to go play ball at the gym. She said yeah, I like to play. I emailed her, and it's been 3 days without a reply. Before I ask my question, she is one of the more popular girls in school while I'm not really in that league. I've heard from some people, that she's just a relaly nice person. I AM TOTALLY CONFUSED ON WHAT'S GOING ON! Can someone please talk about the status of our relationship, if any anymore, maybe from past experience? ANy input would be really appreciated.

A girl i liked did the same kind of stuff on many occasions. She didnt like me however. some girls are just like that, they like to touch and be close to someone all the time. i am not saying she diesnt like you, she very well might.

As for this, i am in this position currently. even though it seems as if she doesnt reply, it may just be shes not in a good mood, busy, etc. Trying to figure out emitions online is very tough. The girl that i like currently never seems to make a new topic, but in person we can talk for hours and it actually seems like a conversation. i am not sure as of now if she does like me.
