Painful vertical vein-like-white-line under thumbnail.

On my left thumbnail there's a vertical white line that is brownish at the top; it extends to a little bump underneath the nail. When I clipped it a few days ago it was fine; today I tried to clip it and it HURT.  (Basically, it looks like a long splinter was inserted inside my thumbnail.) 

I've been researching what it looks like it's a splinter hemmorhage. If you have experienced this, please let me know what was the cause and treatment. Thanks!

Get blood work done by your doctor , problems with nails could be signs of deficiencies  or medical conditions. Don’t use dr Google .

If it hurts a lot and doc is not available -stop googling and see if an urgent care or minute clinic is open.
