Good response to when a guy you're seeing asks what do you want to do when we see each other?

Been seeing this guy for quite some time and all is going well. He's currently away but sounds like he's trying to plan our next meet. I've suggested a few things before. What would be a simple way of saying whatever he is happy with? Without sounding lazy.

How long have you been dating? How long has he been away? Is it a distance situation?

Why can't you simply come up with something you know you would both enjoy?

There must be several holiday events happening in your town. Why not suggest one of those?

of course if he always picks then just pick something. People get sick of the I don't care response.

A good habit is, if you really don't care, then name anything.  Let's go for Chinese, let's rent bikes. let's check out the holiday displays, let's get coffee and splurge on dessert.

Come up with two options - like going to a museum to see a new exhibit, if weather permits, a hike, and maybe volunteering together at a soup kitchen/shelter since it's holiday season - that can be for a future time but why not raise it?
