The worst part is she tried to continue contacting him, RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU, after he blocked her.

Who is she more concerned with, you or him? Who is she more willing to hurt, you or him?

I would seek therapy. I think there is a communication barrier here. And it has been my experience that if she wants to talk to him she will find a way. I think theres massive trust issues here and if they arent addressed properly each of you will be miserable. Youll be accusatory and shell be secretive. In a marriage trust is essential. I think this was a normal human reaction especially if you caught her in a lie. Best of luck to you. With love anything is possible.
