"She dosnt want a boyfriend"

Hi all thanks for reading into this.

 

So I've started talking to a girl who I like we get on so well, she's just great for me In my eyes.

 

I asked her on a date into which she said yes so I was really pleased. The next DAY she texts me saying she's not overly to keen on having a boyfriend at the moment as she's still kind of caught up with her first ever boyfriend and she'd rather tell me now instead of leading me on ( which ended 9 month ago )

 

Anyway we still talk however I always catch her looking and smiling at me, her friends tell me how much she likes me and she's always talking about me, what the hell do I do?? Back off hang about or what?

I agree. You don't want to place yourself on the friend ladder.

Please don't pursue her. I was in a very similar situation. Initially I had no idea he was interested in anything other than friendship. I said similar to this girl, but the guy wouldn't give up. I don't speak to him anymore and it's awkward as he is a neighbour.
