gem2
I need quick advice on something that keeps spinning in my head. Don't think i'm ty or anything, but i met this really cute guy 4 days ago, and after 2 days of knowing him, we made out. it was a really sexy makeout and i haven't stopped thinking of it, thing is we haven't really talked after the makeout. the day after the makeout i ran into him (we both go to the same college) and that's why we talked--because we ran into each other,he told me i looked very pretty, but today he hasn't talked to me at all. i texted him and snapchatted him and he didn't respond to either... what should i do? just forget that kiss and him or what? i' sad he just hasn't spoken tome since the kiss, makes me feel like he didn't like it. melancholy123
I think he was just wanting a make out session with you and he got it. Doesnt seem like he's all that interested in you, so chalk it up to experience and move on. Next time dont be so quick to kiss someone. Link to comment
HeartGoesOn
It sounds like it was random, and if he were interested he would have asked you out, IMO. I have to ask, what does "ty" mean? Link to comment
SophieGrace
Don't think i'm ty or anything What does "ty" mean? I keep seeing it in posts and I can't figure it out - even after googling. I thought it mean "thank you," but that never seems to fit the context. Link to comment
Helpexpressme
It could mean "too young". It fits this context lol Link to comment

Also, he probably knows you have a long term boyfriend (5 years) and decided it was a bad move. Link to comment
Birdie
I think the "ty" is just the end of a derogatorily term, like swears, slang, names/terms etc. the word gets blanked, but the end remains. Link to comment

I still can't figure out what the word might be. Thankfully it seems I'm not the only one here, lol. Link to comment

SophieGrace
usually the word is either $lutty or female dog..itchy. Impressed MHowe. So it's not an actual texting acronym? It's just a portion of one the words gets auto-deleted as Birdie suggested? Link to comment
mhowe
Yes. My favorites are you cannot say "breast slang for tat" because this happens: for tat. And the famous writer, Emily Not Richardenson becomes: Emily enson Link to comment
SophieGrace
Haha! I just wrote something in another post about the famous science fiction writer Philip K ___. It deleted his last name, so it looked as if I were referring to him in that Hollywood fake familiar way. So silly! Link to comment
Dottieflanogon
Well there are allot of potential reasons why he is not responding to your texts/calls.Maybe he is nervous because he went for it and maybe he doesnt think your as into it as he is. Or he may be changing his mind, or trying to figure out his feelings for you right now. Time will tell 'ty' means Thank you, from what I know Link to comment
HeartGoesOn
'ty' means Thank you, from what I know ^ That's what I thought it meant, yet it doesn't seem to fit in the context of what is often posted. I guess I'm just out of the loop. Link to comment
