So why does almost everyone now believe that it's acceptable to break up with a partner who has only ever offered love and support ? Hurting someone in that way is to my mind far worse than physical violence and does more damage. __________ OP makes a categorical, amorphous statement, complete with undefined terms that mean whatever he or any reader thinks that they mean. OP prescribes how 'almost everyone' should behave. It's just his opinion. Arguing about such free-floating belief or feeling has provided several pages of discussion.
