mhowe
My bf and I are headed to the Greek Islands in May. At this point, we are still exploring where/what we want to do, but will be purchasing tickets and booking hotel/villas in the next few weeks. So far, our targets are Santorini and Crete. Any suggestions? We are in 50's, so Mykonos is probably not a destination, as it appears to be for the younger, club oriented crowd. Thanks!!! Link to comment

mhowe
We have never traveled internationally together, so it should be fun. We have taken long weekends, and are now spending 3 days/4 nights together each week (we are both semi-retired). I am very psyched!! Link to comment
Gimpyrks
Have you both flown before? Link to comment
mhowe
We have both traveled internationally separately --- neither of us has a problem with flying. Link to comment
Seraphim
That has always been one of my dream vacations! Have an awesome time and have a drink for me. My mom went to Greece but that was many years ago and I think she was primarily around Athens. She had to cut that trip short because the day after she got there my dad had his first heart attack. So she had come home pretty quickly. Link to comment
mhowe
We both drew up bucket lists --- and then traded to see the others'. The Greek Islands was at very near the top for both of us --- easy peasy decision! Link to comment

happpybear
Is that the name of the restaurant? Oh sorry, I can see how that was confusing.. Knossos and the flaming cheese are not connected Knossos is an an ancient palace from the Minoan period, the cheese (I googled it, it's called "Saganaki") can be found at any restaurant Link to comment
