Well that's what chivalry is - it's a simple fact. Ample evidence out there. If it something someone expects or even wants to talk about, it's prudent to understand it's origin and why it ever came to be in the first place.

 

while I understand your basic, very literal point, I don't need a history lesson to date someone who doesn't let doors close in my face. Nothing to do wish history, knights, raping women, cleaning, raising children, splitting bills, halving housework....

I guess I just see it as a different issue...not about feminism or "chivalry".
