Shy guys.... feeling intimidated and subtle hints being lost on you not helping?

I think if a woman is objectively convinced that an adult male is not asking her out after she has shown direct interest in him (and that means being bluntly honest with oneself about whether this is truly "painfully shy" and not "just not that into me") she should ask him to do something casual like getting lunch during the day, going out with a group of friends to do an activity, etc. Also she should decide whether she's comfortable potentially making most of the contact and asking out,etc. Some people are fine with that some are not.
