ketaro
My girlfriend asked me last night if i would still be friends with her if we ever broke-up, would that question fall under the red flag category or the silly question category? Link to comment
GotMyLifeBack
Hard to know. I'd just be on the alert for any comments indicating she's slowly pulling away from you. That's how most dumpers operate, and if you nip it in the bud, you may be able to save your relationship if that's what you want. Link to comment
dancingcolors
I would call that a red flag. My ex said to me kind of early on, how one day he would come visit, and how he would sleep in the back room, while I had my new boyfriend, in my bed with me. He said that out of the blue. It made no sense. I was so into him. I said, i don't want anybody else, I'm into you. In the end, he dumped me for a woman at work. Link to comment
AbombSnowMan
I wouldn't worry about it, my girlfriend and I have talked about this even though we had no intentions of breaking up. Link to comment
paradoxical
depends on the situation ? dont read too much into it though just be slightly cautious and be careful now Link to comment
The_Seeker
Oh I remember my ex telling me that. It was because of my guy friend, who was wasted, touched my leg in front of him on my birthday. LOL my ex and I switched spots. My guy friend touched my ex's leg. My ex freaked out. So later when we left, I told him sorry about what happened. I didn't want him to think I had any feelings for my guy friend like that and I didn't know why my guy friend did that. My ex agreed. He said he trusted me. For some reason I had tears coming down my eyes, he said if anything happened to us, he's going to be my friend. [rolls eyes] It's a silly question asking. Same thing with marriage question. It's just silly. Just enjoy the moment. Link to comment
Atticus90
Obviously she isn't to confident in the relationship lasting when "IF's" are coming to question. Link to comment
WockaWocka
It's definitely a tacky question. Could indicate she's thought about breaking it off, or could be a response to seeing others break up. Without more context it's difficult to know. Does she have a history of asking you hypothetical questions? And how did you respond? Link to comment
ketaro
Thanks for all the responses guys. @ WockaWocka, not really. I told her she was free to go if she wanted, but i would not be friends with her as i see no point in it. Link to comment
