Vince99
If I asked someone out for next Friday (the 12th), would she think it was a Valentine's date? And would that make it weird for a first date? Would a girl be more/less/neither inclined to say yes because of that? Should I just wait til after to ask? I've known her for a while, we're pretty close friends. But I would have to travel a ways for the date. Link to comment
Theblueman123
Not regarding that your avatar's last name is "valentine", I would say that you should just go for it. Women go crazyanalytic sometimes and are super cool other times, it depends on the person and the time. Idk just go for it bro, nothing to lose. Link to comment
Cognitive_Canine
I have worked through two Valentine's days in the restaurant business serving tables. Nearly half of the couples there are clearly having their first date (or are at least early in the relationship). I wouldn't worry about it. It's not even Valentine's day that the date is on, and no one wants to be alone on the Valentine's day weekend (with all the pressure to have a date). She's probably thinking it's romantic. BriarRose
Go for it - not weird at all. Just be prepared that she may already have plans for that weekend. Link to comment
oldenoughtoknow
It's a first date. It's two days away from VD. And she well knows you're not "Valentines" on a first date. Not a big deal, just do it. Link to comment

Jetta
Since you already have a relationship as friends. A near Valentine's Day date would definitely let her know you're thinking of her as more than a friend IMO. So I think that you should go ahead and ask her out. Link to comment
