If she has done it before then she's either extremely dumb or is doing it on purpose. Maybe she has feelings for you? Or maybe she is one of those people who likes to prevent people from getting into relationships with other people who are her friends. She probably doesn't want you to go out with her friend because she doesn't want you guys to get closer than she is to both of you guys. Or maybe she just wants you to spend your life alone.

The first thing I thought was that your friend got jealous because she has some kind of feelings for you. Another possibility could be that your friend knows something about her, maybe she doesn't think she is good enough for you or that she would end up hurting you.
