I guess it doesn't have to only be for relationships, it could work for friends as well. But have you ever met somebody that said something, and you thought, "Cool! Me too!" and then you reveled in your mutual coolness.

when put in that perspective... guilty as charged. but the occurrence is quick and shallow. we'll be friends for twenty minutes as we talk about how cool such and such book is or what our favorite sex position is... and then that's that.

I'm not asking for advice. I was just wondering what people think about the theory that attraction is a form of narcississm.

I'm not talking about narcissistic people. I'm talking about how many people are attracted to people that are similar to them or even look like them.

i like people who look nothing like me.

i used to go for guys who where short like me and thin like me. it didnt have anything to do with ME and wantin someone LIKE ME..

i read some places though that we naturally gravitate to people who look like us (not just for relationships, but friends too)

ohh.. i read some more posts. does this include being drawn to people with similar interests? then yes. i love those "ME TOO!" moments. and want to talk more to them
