CoCo2009
Well I can but it takes AGES! Does this mean I need to change already. I just started taking them last week. Does this go away.. I can't afford to keep going back and forth to the doctor like this right now. Link to comment
SchecterGuy
I hear that is an initial side effect and goes away to some extent. Link to comment

BellaDonna
I've never taken Zoloft- but I've taken Lexapro. The inability to climax should go away in time. Link to comment

jsx730
Ugh. The doctor just put me on Zoloft today. My sex drive already went down the toilet when the depression hit, if this makes it worse I'm gonna be MORE depressed. Bleh. Link to comment
Seraphim
Depression is an issue that needs to be treated, worry about the sex after. It does get better. Link to comment
BellaDonna
You need to give the medication a chance to work. In 2 weeks to a month you should feel the benefits of the medication and experience less side effects as you get used to it. For a little while, you will feel like a med-head- but it goes away. Fitchik
Zoloft! UGH! My experience: Zero Sex Drive 30 lb weight gain I was already depressed...I didn't need to loose the sex drive OR gain weight...just added to the depression. I would suggest you investigate ALL options. Zoloft is not the only answer. Good Luck to you! Link to comment
CoCo2009
Well I have to atleast give it more than 1 week Link to comment
jsx730
As far as weight gain goes, is it that Zoloft makes you just "gain weight" or does it make you eat more and as a result you gain weight? I'm on a pretty strict diet, so my eating habits won't change, but I wonder if it'll still cause weight gain? Link to comment
mezmerist
If Zoloft doesn't work out for you, I've heard that Wellbutrin is good about not causing weight gain, and not having sexual side effects. Link to comment
Fitchik
I believe it is the Zoloft causing the weight gain. I too, live on a very strict diet. I'm a personal trainer and competitior and have NEVER experienced weight gain like this. Again, this is just my experience. I am certain results and side effects vary. I'm on Welbutrin SR. LOVE IT! Do you find that it's a certain type of weight gain? Personally I'd be thrilled if it helped me gain muscle weight, but I'd be a bit upset if it made me put on fat. I'm around 14% bodyfat now and I'm in the process of trying to put over 10 or so pounds of lean muscle of the comng winter. Link to comment
