  1. yeah, I think you have some good points there.....

but wouldn't you have a bad taste in your mouth if some woman sent you a text that seemed like it was meant for another man she was dating? would you keep seeing her? or figure that she was disorganized and rude?

Oh for sure, I'd be a little put out. Taste and decorum requires us to be cautious and diplomatic in these endevours, however I feel his crime (if there even is one) is carelessness.

I'm not sure if I'd "dump" her over something like this. Think less of her? yes, but not a firing offense.

I still say over-reaction - especially without all the facts

  2. Ok, I'm probably gonna get flamed and hated here but I just have to wade in. And no offense intended here but we are supposed to be open and honest in this forum and that's what you want right?

If I was this guy, I would feel like I just dodged a bullet (regarding a future with you). I think you totally over-reacted and there is nothing that guys hate more than major drama from some girl. You cut off all contact because he may or may not have contacted someone besides you? Wow, there's trouble!!!

The reality is that it _could_ be his sister. Even if it isn't, the first reaction is to lie or at least spin - I mean do you really want to hear him say "yes, I am also seeing/trying to see this other woman who is waaaay hot".

You do not own this guy, you weren't exclusive. I've been in this situation before and I really wouldn't want to know the whens and wheres of what the girl is up to and who - tell me a white lie....please...

Of course all this is different if/when one decides to be exclusive.

Watch me get shredded here - but hey, this is how I see this

  3. Procrastination

I'm supposed to be studying and writing an essay but instead I am on enotalone and MSN chatting to some stranger.

Any tips out there for getting your butt in gear and stop messing around. If I write this thing tonight then I will be alot less stressed on friday when it is due. But since the deadline is not right in my face then ....

  4. You, me and author Douglas Coupland know:

She say she feels lost, sort of like the way she felt when she was younger.

I told her that everybody feels lost when they're young.

But she say there's a difference. She tells me that at least when she was young she felt lost in her own special way. Now she just feels lost like everyone else."

    - Douglas Coupland, Life After God

Sorry it's no help but at least you know you aren't alone in these thoughts

You might also try Peggy Lee's "Is that all there is?"

  5. The main argument here is that he had one encounter with a PROFESIONAL SEX EXCHANGER before he met her. So, at least he didn't go and have LOVELESS SEX with a girl who thinks SEX IS AN ACT OF LOVE when he didn't love her.

Think of it that way, he's not being decietful or hurtful or unfaithful or dishonest.........which I think one night stands are, essentially.

Interesting and thought provoking. Well said.

  6. great distinction, but I have known one woman who told me specifically she "gives out" for free dinner, drinks, and other monetary benefits of dating - as if this is the expectation of the process. She did not think sex was a big deal. She liked getting out and being treated well in exchange for percursory sex.

Others of us think sex is a big deal.

    relational styles differ, for sure.

I know someone like this too. I don't consider her a prostitute either. She's good company, fun to be with and great for if one hasn't "got it" in a while.

  7. Because the woman wanted to have sex with him for reasons other than financial compensation. After receiving the drinks and the cab ride, she could have just as easily walked away.

Sure she could have walked away - but she wanted to have sex, she was lonely, horny, wanted "revenge on a ex", whatever. The prostitute could walk away too - but she needed the money.

    We all need things.

  8. Another example?

He's wealthy - sucessful business man/rock star whatever. She's attractive - ex model, playboy centrefold whatever. They get married (she likes his moeny, he like her body), he keeps working, she doesn't. She spends all his money and is his eye candy on his arm when they go out. They have sex.

They like each other, they like the arrangement. They are not in love.

    Is she a prostitute?

  9. Don't like that example?

A man is lonely, it's been a while since he's had sex. He knows a woman (through friends etc) who is sexually available and doesn't require a relationship to enjoy sex. He buys her dinner, theatre tickets, drinks etc. They have sex.

She expects him to pay for her company, he is willing to pay

    Is she a prostitute?

  10. A man meets a girl in the bar, he buys her multiple expensive drinks, after the bar closes they both go to an all night diner, he buys her food. Later they take a taxi back to his house, he pays. They have sex. In the morning he buys her taxi back to her house. They never see each other again. Both parties are fine with this.

How is this different from prositution?

  11. I've basically thought that woman on top position was basically a "for the woman" position (though the visuals for us guys are great) so just do what feels good for you!

In my experience, the girl usually grinds her clitorus into my public bone.

OK this is already a little more info than I'm comfortable with sharing (blush)

I was gonna add that this is one of my fav positions until I realized that they all are so ....

  12. Are you kidding? The best way to look like a totally tough guy is to be in command of your gonads and not get led around by some skank. One totally ups one's cred if you don't go with an easy one. Word gets around and you become even more of a prize. Unless they think you are gay that is (not that there's anything wrong with that)

    My take on it anyway.

She might be a little mystified but women gotta know what we guys already know - you can't always get what you want baby!

  13. You are not defined by wheather you have a b/f or not. Some of the loneliest people out there are attached.

You need to remove the focus from yourself and your own misery and move it somewhere else. Get a hobby, join a club or volunteer or something.

TV will eat your mind and remind you of your lonlieness. Find something else to do

[side note - i've experienced lonlyness many times so why can't I spell it right?]

  14. It means she is easy but doesn't want you to know it. Classic.

Beware of people (both men and women) who _tell_ you their virtues and good points. Actions speak louder than words.

She may also be somewhat intregued that you haven't jumped her yet. If I were you I'd string it along for a while....that and wear a condom

  15. It's like asking "would you rather be rich or smart"? Wealth can disapear but if you are smart then you can always get more wealth!

    Lady Astor: Sir, you're drunk

Winston Churchill: Yes, madam, I am drunk. But in the morning I will be sober and you will still be ugly.

I choose "B" incidentally. The person of your dreams at 25 might not be the person of your dreams at 45 - then what do you do? You're ugly, it's as good as it gets.
