My girlfriend and I have been together for about 8 or 9 months now and are considering having sex for the first time. I am posting on here because she is not comfortable in doing so, so I am asking for her. We are curious to know ways to make sure that we won't get pregnant. It is obvious that we will use condoms. The main question is that is there a good time of the month to have sex that will reduce the chances of getting pregnant or any other ways to strongly reduce the chances of pregnancy? I realize that the pill is an option, but I am not sure we can go about getting that. So any other suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.

Ok, well here's my story. My gf and I have been dating for about 6 months now and the other night we got together to go to the movies and i noticed that she was not acting like herself. She would not tell me what was wrong. A little later I went to kiss her and she started crying. I again asked her what was wrong and she said she wanted to take a break for a little bit because she didn't want to feel tied down or w/e. Anyway, I agreed to it because there wasn't much I could do anyway. She also said that she didn't think that she deserved me beacause I do all these nice things for her and she doesn't have as much time for me (she is busy with a whole lot of stuff lately). Anyway, we went ahead and went to the movies because I had already bought the tickets. I was just kind of sitting there, not paying attention because naturally I was sad. She then told me that she had changed her mind and did not want to take a break. I think it is because she saw how sad it made me. I asked her if it was her decision and not for me and she said yes, but I am still not too sure. So I guess as of now we are technically together, but anyway, I need some opinions as to what I should do because I called her last night and it seemed so freakin' awkward. Any suggestions as to what I should do or tell her or something. This is driving me insane! ](*,) Thanks for reading my long and pointless post.

Hey man I know exactly what you're going through. I'm 17 and just got my first real g/f. You will find a great girl out there someday. I used to think I wouldn't get a g/f ever, but it happened out of nowhere. Just try and stay positive man.

For all I know it was a number of things. It could have been my looks, but I don't know. She was honest with me and told me that at the moment she doesn't "like" me, but that it may change. It also could have been the distance thing. She also said that if we went out now and things didn't work out, that would make the trip to Europe really awkward, and I actually agree with that.

No, I don't believe so. She has a low confience level and low self esteem. She is pretty, but not one of those super hot girls that only date rich body builders.

What in the hell does making fun of her have to do with anything? I'm not really that kind of person. I don't think that makes you look strong, it's more like jerk.

I'm only going to do that if it doesn't work out because I really like her and am willing to try and make it work out, no matter the distance.

This is an update to a post I made awhile back, so here's a summary. There is this girl that I like that is going on a student ambassador trip to england with me and a bunch of other kids our age. The problem is that she lives kind of far away. About an hour or two. This may not seem like much but it is to a 16 year old. Anyway, I told her how I felt about her and she said that she isn't really wanting a boyfriend right now (I actually believe this one because she has never had a boyfriend before). She also said she didn't want to go out with me right now because if it didn't work out then the trip would be really awkward because we will be around each other the whole time. Also she said that she doesn't really like me like that at the moment, but she said that after the trip, if we're both available that we would talk about it. What should I do here? I mean I really like her, but the trip is still awhile off and I'm afraid she'll be taken by then. Any advice is appreciated.

The trip is a one time thing this summer. It will be about 3 weeks or so. The once a month things are meetings planning for the trip this summer. I've already talked to her about doing some stuff with her when we're on the actual trip and she agreed to it, but I'm sure she considers it only as friends.
