It is a pill of hormones, yes, it can mess with your cycle. but you CAN still get your period while pregnant, why do you think some people dont realise they are up the duff until they drop sprog?

Yes, because it messes with your cycle. You're most likely not pregnant.

Take a pregnancy test or go to the doctor. Its better to be sure than just keep guessing.

up the duff = pregnant

Yes you can also have implantation bleeding and even other forms of bleeding while pregnant that happen at the time of the period. I would have thought that would be a once off though, and not monthly through the duration of a pregnancy.

Not possible in a technical sense, but that's not to say there's no bleeding, and it can happen at the time that a period would have come.
