4answers
? Is it best to stay friends if you think you ex has a new partner. She is not telling me anything, but she does not seem at all bothered about us not being together, it is like our time together was a bit of fun ! I am hurt that we are not together, she seems pleased. I would of thought she would have a desire to work things out. Its like all her words were false ! Link to comment
wishiknew
only if you truly want to be friends with her and nothing more. if you hope for a chance at reconciliation its only going to tear you up inside seeing her with the new partner Link to comment
Iceman26
I don't think it is best to stay friends with an ex period, but that is a matter of my personal choice and opinion. Link to comment
Orlander
Why would you torture yourself and allow yourself to be hurt by someone you think was just out to "have a little fun"?? orlander Link to comment
renaissancewoman101
If the ex wants to stay friends with you and you want to stay friends with her, then I would say "go for it". Just realize it will hurt a bit and be very hard, esp if you realize she and this other guy are an "item". If your ex is going to rub it in your face that she has someone else, then I would say "NO" Link to comment
leewils
Do you want to stay friends at the hope one day you might be able to get back together? Link to comment
LLammas
I'm friends with one of my exes...and we only managed to stay friends because we stopped talking for months after the break up, only to run back into one another through a mutual friend. If you still have a romantic interest in her you should probably give it a little time before really trying to make a platonic relationship work. That will save you both a lot of heart ache.
