Juliana
Today I have nothing to be afraid of. The hour has no hold over me; I am awake, and the dawn is pink-cheeked on the horizon. I stir up the minutes with a coffee spoon and watch them swirl away. Around me the green and gold world shivers awake with the touch of the wind. The clock hammers insanely on the mantle, sighs, and stops. I will measure time now the way God does; in the moments of a child, in summers that last forever. Link to comment
