The most embarassing thing ever...

Has just happened to me. My sister and brother-in-law were here to use my computer and send an important email to their solicitors. We were all sitting around the screen, my sister went to attach a document to the email. Well the attachment box opened up and there right in front of us was a selection of my favourite 'sex-related images' (i hate the word porn and this was more fetish stuff anyway).

 

I almost died on the spot, time stood still for a couple of seconds and no one breathed. then my sister quickly clicked back to my documents folder. no one actually said anything and it was like it never happened. i am currently finding it hard to look either of them in the eye!

 

anyone else been this embarrassed?

You could have played it off by getting angry and stating- "What the heck is that?????????" I'd better scan my computer for viruses spyware again, malicious programs keep downloading on my computer".

 

My guess is they will forget about this (probably sooner than you will)

Its not that big of a deal it is just porn, you are 28 years old and the idea that you do not look at porn is just obsurd. There is no reason to be embarrassed infact I would just laugh about it.

i think thats funny!!! no offence... if that happened to me... my friends/ brother/ parents whoever would just poke a bit of fun at me and get on with their email...

 

/thats odd that they didn't at least tease you about it... my brothers certainly would!... and we'd all laugh!!

OK that is embarrassing but probably not as bad as you think it is. I bet they had a good laugh about it in private, made quiet self promises to not let that happen to them, and moved on.

 

years later you will all have a good laugh about it.

Well it's something nearly everyone has or does, just no one likes to talk about it. Dont' be to embarrassed.

I just tell people who use my computer to watch out for all the porn. What they stumble on while snooping is not my problem. Whether they believe it or not is up to them!

 

It is easier if you don't get embarrassed or try to cover it. In that case, usually it is the other people who saw it that act embarrassed then!

Once at work, my friends sent me this link to some kind of thing that opens 100 windows of all this nasty gay porn, pictures of really obese naked women, "mature" porn, and pictures of people defecating on each other. It takes up the whole screen. It also plays this audio clip that says "HEY EVERYONE I'M LOOKING AT GAY PORN"

 

You cant get rid of it without restarting the computer. I just hit the power button after a few seconds... a bunch of people were behind me.
