Someone already mentioned one of my all-time favorite pick-me-up songs,

"Walk On" by U2. I also like "Stuck in a Moment that You Can't Get Out Of," which, from the title, sounds depressing, but it's really not -- it contains one of my favorite lines "I know it's tough/You can never get enough/Of what you don't really need." Yeah. From that same CD "It's a Beautiful Day" is great too.

My signature line comes from "It Ends Tonight" by the All-American Rejects, which could be perceived as a "depressing" song but...I don't see it that way. It reminds me so much of my situation -- driving away from ex's house at 3:00 a.m. after we decided things were not going to happen for us and hearing him crying on the other end of the phone when I called him to tell him I got home OK (only to have him change his mind and then change his mind AGAIN -- ). To me, it's a song that says "OK, this is it. It's done, and I'm not looking back." Here's the whole song:

i already posted about this once, but lily allen has totally helped me through my break up! check out "smile" and "not big" i can't post the lyrics, because, uhm, pretty much every other line would be edited out! but they're good, i promise!

 

oh, and i don't know if anyone's already said this and maybe my theme of wishing ill on the ex isn't exactly the most healthy, but JT's what goes around comes around is another recent fav...
