One thing that applies to both a dating profile and a resume. Don't write paragraphs and paragraphs. No one will read that. There's something called the six second rule. Whoever reads what you wrote will focus for about six seconds, then they stop paying attention. So make sure you write in short, attention getting phrases rather than long paragraphs. Your resume also shouldn't be more than a page or a page and a half at most, again with snappy phrases instead of long sentences. And don't write a list of the job duties. List what YOU personally accomplished. 

And don't use one of those lame mirror selfies or a shirtless pic on your dating profile. It should be one where you look relaxed and happy.
