Communication through social media a bad idea ..?

Long story short me and my BF broke up after a three month LD relationship. M question is why would he block me on facebook but not on twitter,instagram,linkedin ? Does he want to keep the lines of communication open.? the break up happened because it was long distance and i over communicated with messages and he felt burried in messages from me and NONE from him. he just texted simply..."sorry.,time to move on. I wish you all the best" have not heard from him since .
