what do I do with this gift I bought for her?

Apologies if this is not the right subforum to post this question. So, I bought a really nice (and somewhat expensive) gift (it's a dress) for a girl I was seeing a few months back. I picked up the dress when I when to visit my home country so was kinda a special thing. She broke up with me right after I came back so I never gave her the gift. What should I do with it? I can't see myself giving it to any future women in my life (knowing why I bought it) and of course I can't wear it lol. Throwing away seems weird so probably just donate? I can't keep it with me I guess because the next girl in my life of course would ask some day

If you can't return it, donating it is a good idea. Some resale shops benefit charities, and your donation can be a tax write-off.

You could donate it or you could sell it somewhere like ebay since it was expensive.

Thanks. It's not so much that the money is issue it's that can't get myself to throw it certainly. So I guess that leaves me with only donation as a viable option (or keep it forever as a memory?!?!)

Either donate it to charity or gift it to a female friend of the same size.

It's brand new, it's easy to ship, sell it on Ebay.

See if any female friends or your male friends gf's are similar size and give to one of them as a gift, or as others have suggested you could also sell it since it is brand new and never worn. If was me I would re gift it.
