diariescs
Hello, everyone! Right after my breakup (barely three weeks ago), I searched online for anything and everything that would help me feel better. Because I am an avid reader, reviews on B&N and Amazon were one of the first things I looked at. This was how I found the book called "Getting Past Your Breakup" by Susan Elliot. I was skeptical but I bought it anyway. The first few pages soothed me in a way that nothing had been able to on that difficult first week. I admit that as the next week progressed, I stopped reading because I simply was not ready to let go of the dead relationship. But even if you're like me and are feeling a lot of resistance to embracing your grief, the first four chapters alone will be of amazing use to you. After so much resistance, I have finally began utilizing her methods and, boy, do I feel so much better than I did yesterday! If you want some respite from this crazy pain, please, please, please get this book. I wish you the best of luck. Love, C. Link to comment

mahipahl
It is a good book. The short of it is to; accept the relationship is over. Look for closure within yourself. Learn to forgive and not hate. Work on rebuilding your life and move on without carry hope of possible reconciliation. Link to comment
