[again i don't know where this thread would fit in]

 

I was friends with this girl once for a while. I told her that i liked her, she didn't feel the same way. She still wanted to be friends (even though she ignored/avoided me) I told her i couldn't be friends with her. I made it clear i didn't want anything to do with her anymore, and cut all communications.

 

A year later, out of the blue, she asks me if i would like to go to prom with her.

I said no.

 

This is why i think she's asking me.

-Today was the last day to get tickets,

-She's desperate

-Everyone she asked has a date, or turned her down.

-She asks me because she still thinks I'm hung up on her and i'll say yes.

 

So I'm a bit angry at her, she'd think I'd say yes. I'm not that pathetic.

 

I'd like to hear what you think, was i right in turning her down?

You were right in turning her down if you didn't want to go. If you really did want to go with her than it seems like you made your decision based on an old resentment due to being rejected before.

After I told her no, I turned around and walked the other way. So i didn't see or hear how she took it.
