  1. How old is your partner, and when did he start exhibiting these symptoms of paranoia? How severe is the paranoia? Does he ever hallucinate, like hear voices, or see things that aren’t there? Do you think he should see a Psychiatrist? Just make sure you and your children are safe which I’m sure you are already doing.
  2. I’m so sorry to hear about the loss of your father. I can respect his decision though.
  3. Hello, Well it’s good that you didn’t have to make a decision and could stay on the Metformin. It’s a good medication and I certainly don’t blame you about not wanting to go on Invokana. With that side effect, I wouldn’t go on that either. I am a diabetic as well, and was put on Ozempic last year. My A1C was over 7 and went down to 6.4 in just a few months. I also lost over 30 pounds last year along with diet of course. I didn’t have any side effects at all. I have many doctors (because I have many health conditions), and everyone of my doctors is thrilled with my low A1C and weight loss. Especially my kidney doctor as I have Chronic Kidney Disease Stage 3. It’s not due to Diabetes though but from using Ibuprofen(Motrin) for so many years for chronic low back pain. Yes, sometimes opiates are safer than anti-inflammatory meds for your organs. With Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), it’s vitally important that you keep your glucose levels down and your blood pressure down as well. Finally, its my opinion that I find the people that put these meds down like Ozempic and Wygovy are usually lay people, not doctors or scientists. That has been my experience anyways. Take care, Vesna
  4. That girlie: And stop texting him! Again, it makes you look desperate!~Vesna
  5. I wouldn’t go, it would make you look desperate and that’s never a good look for a woman. If you’re looking for a serious relationship, this guy isn’t for you. I don’t get the four months thing either; can you please explain that?~Vesna
  6. I agree with the above posters about not diagnosing your girlfriend, but at the same time I understand where you’re coming from. There is a lot of information on the internet about Bipolar Disorder- just research it. There are many misconceptions about it though. There are several different kinds of Bipolar Disorders. For example, Bipolar 2 is not as “extreme” as Bipolar 1. It’s characterized by at least one episode of hypomania. May have a decreased need for sleep, become very social, are energetic, grandiosity, hypersexuality, however It’s not the same as mania as seen is Bipolar 1. They are functioning at full capacity, unlike people with Bipolar 1. They never show psychotic symptoms either. Bipolar 2 Disorder is also characterized by at least one episode of major depression as well. The diagnosis for Bipolar 2 requires that the person never experience a manic episode, otherwise, they would have Bipolar 1. Please remember that I am not a doctor, so the above statements may be wrong, but to the best of my knowledge they are correct. Please mods and admins, delete if necessary. -Vesna
  7. Thank you, Seraphim! I did get a little mixed up the first couple of times I tried it, and gave two people the thank you sign (medal) instead of the like sign (heart). But I think I got it right after that. I can be a little dense at times; lol… Thanks again, Vesna
  8. Hello, I just joined about a month ago and I don’t understand how to give reputation points. I hope this is the correct site to post this at. I think I see where to do it, but I’m not understanding it. And, what are reaction points? What’s the difference between the two? Thank you. Vesna
  9. Thanks rainbows and roses for posting the video for me!
  10. Sorry to hear about your brother rainbows and roses. I wish you much peace, health, and happiness in 2024! Sorry, I don’t know how to upload videos (or whatever it’s called; not real computer savvy here). These two songs aren’t real sad, but they were real popular back in my day; the early 80’s. The first one is called “Jeopardy” by Greg Kihn. Play the wedding video, it’s also called the official video. Make sure you play it to the end. The second song is called “The Breakup Song” again, by Greg Kihn. Hope you enjoy it.
  11. I was going to submit this song but I didn’t think anyone here was really old enough to know it. Anyways, I’ve only heard it sung by the group The Left Banke; didn’t know The Four Tops sang it as well. Thanks!
  12. Hi, Naddie 101! While it is true that most SSRI’s due tend to lower sexual libido, in some rare instances, some of them can actually increase libido. He should really have a talk with his doctor about this. Prozac in some people, can increase sexual desire. Wellbutrin is less likely to give you low libido and sometimes, can also increase sexual libido. Buspar, also known as Buspirone, is anti-anxiety med. that actually counters the effects of SSRI’s induced negative sexual side effects. It can also increase the strength of the orgasm and the length of the orgasm too. And for some people who had difficulty having an orgasm before, this med. can make that possible again. Other anti-depressants that help with SSRI induced sexual dysfunction are: Mirtazapine and Cyproheptadine. Just wanted to add that I know that this thread is over a year old, so I don’t even know if the author is still around. I posted this because I thought maybe someone would find this information useful, if they didn’t already know about it. Thank You!
