Is it normal (Part 2)

Hi everyone,

I don't know what to say nor do. My previous post was all about pouring out what happened and now. . I know the truth. The truth is, he browse, download, and view pictures of his friends, some of which are our mutual friends (all girls) as he said that he helps him reduce tension. He said that he doesn't know what it is about those pictures that soothes his tension when he views them and keeps them as part of a collection. The pictures all have common characteristics (skimpy clothing - bikini; cleavage; solo, sexy). He said that he has been doing that for some time during the years we have been together. Now that I think back, there were so many warning signs and I trusted him so much to not second-guess his "explanations". I don't know what I should do. Please, tell me if this is normal? Please, tell me what I should do. Please. . .

I can understand porn because he wouldn't know the woman. What he is doing is emotionally cheating on you with girls you do know. I mean it's okay to be attracted to others in a relationship. I think though by obsessing over your friends and downloading and getting off on it is taking it to an extreme. So to answer your question no it's not normal. Especially when you are in a committed relationship.

Please excuse my bluntness but who cares if it's normal? If it hurts you and he keeps doing it, then it's wrong, period. Can you imagine how he'd react, if you were doing the same thing?

What should you do? That's really up to you. If your okay with him doing this for the rest of your lives together, than stay. If not, then tell him this isn't okay with you and its a deal breaker. Be prepared to walk away.

It's cheating imo, and the "reduced tension" excuse is ludicrous; there are lots of other things that your man can do to relax. It comes down to respect for you and your relationship. How do you think he would react to you having photos of your male friends to "reduce your tension?" Probably not a pleasant picture.
