dealornodeal
My husband lost some weight recently and is very happy about it. I am too because it makes him happy. Physically it doesn't matter to me, but I actually hope he does not lose any more, never liked skinny guys. The thing is his attitude changed as well..he looks in the mirror all the time, spends hours getting ready, is telling everyone about it.. And this is really putting me off! His vanity is starting to be a turn off for me, and every time he looks in the mirror the last thing I want to do is have any physical contact with him. Should I approach the subject, I know it would hurt him, or just cringe and hope it passes? Link to comment
nutbrownhare
It'll pass - don't worry! Link to comment
lilypadgirl
It'll pass! In the meantime, encourage him in other ways. For example, express appreciation for the nice things he does or when he's being generous and humble, so that he gets complimented for aspects other than his looks. Link to comment
becomingkate
My family's weight goes up and down, so I totally get this! If it's my husband who loses, then he's obsessed with his new look, (and I have to admit - me too. I always joke around that I have a "new man" lol.) If it's me, then it's the same thing. I think he's proud of the weight he's lost and eventually he'll settle down. Link to comment
SapphireNoir10
I think he is just proud of himself...I'm also sure it will pass. Let him have his moment of glory and pride Link to comment
Crazyaboutdogs
Some women who have lost weight have done worse....they have decided to sex themselves up in order to get attention and end up wearing skin tight clothing, short short skirts and plunging necklines. Many men have complained about their partner doing that once they lost weight. Link to comment
laninaperdida
You're happy for him, but you're also jealous, lol. THat's normal. I say you go parrot him. Go lose some weight or get a new hairstyle or something. This way you can encourage him & participate. Make sure you let him have his glory... Don't take it away. Slap his ass when you walk by. Give him a BJ. Be proud of him & SHOW it. Link to comment
