Cerazette birth control

Does anybody know how long you have to take Cerazette (the mini-pill) for before you are protected? I stopped taking it and have lost the booklet. On the internet it says that you are protected from day one (netdoctor.co.uk - apparently up to date info that is used in family planning clinics, so i assume it can be trusted). However, I vaguely remember being told 7 days. Does anybody take it and know for sure? Otherwise I'll ask the doc.

It depends on who you talk to, but the best method is to wait 1 month to have the most protection. Some dr's will say 1 wk, others 2 wks, but it's better to take proper precautions especially when the mini-pill is less effective than the combination pill.

With any form of Birth Control it's always best and safest to go through one full cycle of pills before just relying on it completely. Especially with the minipill as PP said it's less effective than the combination pills.
