tigerwalk
I just saw my ex. I instituted strict NC 12 days ago after a drunken lapse that ended a 3 week NC. We were at the same chamber of commerce trade show. I had to walk by her where the crowd was bottlenecked. With her back turned to me, I quietly put my hand on her shoulder, she turned, I said "Hi how are you?". She said "Hi how are you?". We both said pretty good, and I walked on. I know she saw me as I was making my way past her, but turned her back to act like she didn't. Since I was speaking to everyone else that I knew, I felt like it was only polite to do the same with her. I kept a smile on my face and moved on. I don't plan on contacting her at all. What do you all think? I don't even think this constitutes as breaking NC. It was a random, chance meeting. Link to comment
luvagain
You handled it very well, I think. That will go a long way and it says a lot about who you are and where you are in the healing process. She tried to flee but you were the grown up here and you did what you thought was right and that was to be polite. Good for you. Yeah! Link to comment
friscodj
You handled it with dignity and class...good job... 0X P.S. Is this little alien guy flipping us off??????? Link to comment
HaloDestroyer
This is a definite N.C. success story. The fact that you could be polite, but not talk to her anymore than you had to? A lot of people could do with hearing this!! Hope this helps... Link to comment
friscodj
Yeah, the point here is to keep it short and sweet I think. Smile, greet, then walk...and keep walking... Link to comment
Fif Angel
Yep, definitely, playing it cool is always the way to go The first few weeks of no contact are always the hardest-keep doing what you're doing and all will be well Link to comment
