Ran into ex at a party

He broke up with me 6 weeks ago and we haven't contacted each other since except him apologizing for not wishing me a happy bday. Saw him at a party Saturday night and he gave me a hug. A mutual friend of ours said he was staring at me the whole night & a different friend told me he's been saying he regrets breaking up and what he did was stupid. Does this mean he wants to get back together?

When he contacts you and says: "I made a mistake and would like to talk to you about getting back together" is when it means he wants to get back together. Anything else is just rumour and your wishful thinking.

For the time being just enjoy the attention. 😉 if he confesses the same to you personally, then is the real thing. Otherwise, like "ThatWas Then" said it's just rumours and your fantasy.

All you can do is just get on with life , don't wait for him to do something , just carrying on moving forward .

 

If he really does regret this , he will soon let you know . I hope for you he does and you can reconcile your differences .

Hearing things from others doesn't amount to much.

What matters is his actions.

Guys will chase what they want. If he isn't, then he's most likely not that interested anymore.

 

I suggest not waiting, and go on about life.

If it's meant to be, he will return to you.
