I've noticed that my partner likes a kind of soft stroking of her clit as foreplay for intercourse and doesn't like it if I go too fast or with to much pressure. However, when she is masturbating, she uses a lot more pressure and and her fingers are a blur.

 

My question is this, is that typical?

A lady knows her own sensations, how to approach etc. Some men don't realize it can be overwhelming and even sensitive/painful if things start off too hard or fast.

Often it's needed, some 'easy', softer pressure & motions to 'get going'. Men don't feel what women do.

It's because when it gets too intense for us, we just slow down, but if your doing it, it could get too intense and we have to tell you to slow down, which causes some man to just stop completely or to feel insecure, and takes away from our pleasure.
