Need advice from a Video Editor regarding video editing.

Title say's it all I need an advice from a video editor or photographer either way. My cousin gave me his wedding video to edit for them, and the video has a lot of errors. First off all there is no white balance added to the video. And 2nd the video has turned out dark and is barley seeable. And 3rd during the wedding ceremony the color has turned out orange. How can i fix this ? i've used programs such as ulead video editor, cyber link, to take out the orange-ness and to lighten it up. turns out being worst. Would someone tell me what other options do I have to fix this video and to correct the color correction or the program i need to fix this ? Thanks !
