armywifealyssa
So my sister is beginning to date my husbands cousin he is 17 and going to turn in November, she is 15 will turn 16 in Aug. They have known eachother for years and he is a US Soldier along with my husband, they are not sexually active, they are both VERY smart and determined people, GREAT students, and awesome kids! Idk im just wondering if there age gap is bad or will be ok? Link to comment

RedDress
I don't think 17/18 and 15 is an age gap at all. To me, it is perfectly normal to date someone within 2 or 3 years. This is also not illegal where I am because, while she is young, he is less than 5 years older than her. But... check your jurisdiction. Laws differ from place to place. Link to comment
armywifealyssa
Thank You RedDress, i was just curious im ok with it but my whole family is opinionated and i was curious to see how the rest of the world thought. Link to comment
annie24
the only real concern that i have is that he will probably be going away for basic training soon while she's still at high school. then again, this happens all the time too - also when the 18 year old goes away for college. the relationship might not survive the time apart, but that's life, right? agent1607307371
I think the gap caused by him being the army and her being in school will be more problematic. Link to comment
